Creativity Consulting

Stumped? Need fresh ideas but are plumb out? Need some creative thought? Sometimes, when you’ve looked at a problem too long, it feels stale. Fresh eyes can help. And when those fresh eyes are trained in the creative, with decades of experience, good things can happen.

I can help your team think. I’ll sit in on meetings and offer external counsel. Or, you and I will just talk through ideas.

Because I’m free of office politics and the general hierarchy that often constrains free thinking, I can be objective in my subjectivity.

I’m ready for the call that begins, “OK, here’s what’s going on…” Then, I’ll hear a complex story about some difficult things which have happened, and some of the options the clients see moving forward.

Then they’ll ask, “So, what do you think?”

You’d better be ready for my reply.

My clients — more than one has said, “You’re like a male Barbara Walters?”

“You mean like Larry King?”

“No, like Barbara Walters,” they’d correct, then explain how she would get to the emotional core of the questions.

That’s because I ask the hard, and probably invasive questions. You don’t hire me to be a yes-man. You hire me to help find strategic communications solutions which work.

My goal isn’t take you down a notch or to fill you with fluff. It is to enter into a problem and come out with workable, honest ideas.

How Does It Work?

We’ll have a good conversation. I’ll get to know you, your company, and your industry. You’ll get to know me and how I think. If we’re a fit, put me on a monthly retainer. Or, we’ll make a “just in case” agreement. That is, if you realize you need me, you’ll know what it costs.

This isn’t for everyone. I’m not Tony Robbins or your therapists. If it’s for you, let’s talk.

“Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can play weird; that’s easy. What’s hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity.”

Charles Mingus

"Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people."

Leo Burnett

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will."

George Bernard Shaw
