Stan Lee is dead. I’m a writer who grew up on comic books. Of those comics, most were Marvel, and most were involving characters Stan created. Through reading, I learned about the value of dialogue and how it builds drama. I learned how such dialogue creates “voice.” I use that in speeches every day.
Those more knowledgeable about comics will eloquently describe his impact on the industry, but, for me, as a child turned adult still a boy at heart, I am saddened. As a writer, I am thankful.
Good-bye Stan. You had great power and you used it responsibly.
